SIN & REPENTANCE

Chapter 3: continuation

This is why the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ today is a show of the Primitive Church, where men and women, moved by fear of the Lord, denied their own will and kept themselves clean from selfish ambition; their sole purpose being the will of Him who had sent them.

This world would be much better place if the spirit of the fear of the Lord dwelt in every Christian heart -  especially in the hearts of those who desire to preach the Gospel to every creature. The blind man whom Jesus healed said to the jews, "Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him" (John 9.31).

May the Holy Spirit pour down upon us not only His gifts, but a sincere feeling of reverence and respect towards Him, which is the foundation of blameless conduct before God, so that we can fulfil His purpose.
Men Who Feared GOD
The fear of the Lord will never become a reality in our lives as long as we are selfish and have self-gratifying person ambitions. Rather we must deny ourselves completely. By the way, this is a daily battle -  the old battle between the flesh and the Spirit, as the apostle Paul said:
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

The battle ceases to exit when there is the fear of the Lord, which is a remarkable characteristic of men like David and Job.
1. David -  The bible  say that "But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you." (1 samuel 13.14).

Through this passage we see that the Lord is looking for men and women who can fulfil his purposes, His will' people who are fearful and whom He can entrust with responsibilities in this world.

David was one of these men and proved it when he was being persecuted by King Saul for no proper reason.
Despite the fact that Saul was demon possessed, David refused to kill him on the two occasions that God gave him, simply because he saw in the King a person that God anointed.
In other words, David refused to kill his number one enemy because he feared the One who had anointed him kind over Israel.
What else  could he have done? David's attitude revealed his character to God, and that's why the Lord said of him, "And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will" (Acts 13.22).
May each one of us have his heart set on the Lord Jesus and may He do His holy will in our lives.
